Warning: Our flea market's Saturday night setup is a secret for comic hunters
In my city, the Sunday flea market is known for comic deals but it's always super crowded. I kept missing out on good finds even when I showed up early. Then I saw some vendors unloading boxes on Saturday evening before the main event. I decided to swing by and found a guy with a stash of vintage Spider-Man comics at low prices. He told me he tests the market with older stock on Saturday to avoid the rush. Now I hit up the setup night and have grabbed issues I never saw on Sunday. If your town has a similar market, try checking the night before for hidden gems.

Our setup night is just vendors arguing over space, lmao.

Honestly, maybe it's just me but those arguments probably come from bad floor plans from the start. I mean, if the organizers gave clear maps and assigned spots fairly, there wouldn't be so much drama. Idk, it feels like they don't think about how vendors need to actually set up their stuff. Plus, when everyone's stressed about space, it kills the mood for the whole event. It's not just about fighting, it's about poor planning making everyone on edge. Maybe they should run a mock setup or something before the real night.

That Saturday setup vibe isn't always some peaceful treasure hunt. Half the vendors are stressed and racing the clock. Found a guy with a box of old X-Men books last month, but he was so annoyed about his spot being too small he wouldn't budge on price. Sunday morning, when he was set up proper, he was way more chill to talk down. The secret is really just catching people when they're too tired to care or argue.
