The week my LCS got a fresh dollar bin was pure chaos
Back in 2018, my local shop in Cleveland got in a massive collection and tossed like 500 books into a 50 cent bin. I spent three straight afternoons digging through it and found a near mint copy of Uncanny X-Men #266 for a buck fifty. The guy at the counter was so jealous he almost pulled out his price guide on the spot. That same week, I traded a stack of duplicates for a full run of Animal Man from the 90s. Has anyone else ever hit a week where the back issue bins just delivered like that?

...and honestly I used to be the guy who thought dollar bin diving was mostly just junk hunting for people who didn't know any better. But then I had my own moment maybe like six years ago? I pulled a first printing of Sandman #1 in rough but readable condition out of a 50 cent box at a con, right after someone had obviously just dumped a whole collection without checking prices. It completely changed how I look at those bins now, I actually get a little rush when I see fresh boxes hit the floor. Your X-Men 266 story is insane though, that's the kind of find that keeps me digging through piles of beat up X-Force issues for hours.

Heard a buddy found a Batman Adventures 12 in a dollar bin last year. @simonmoore you already know the feeling.
