That one issue of Saga I kept seeing people hype turned out to be worth the fuss

I've been reading comics for about 4 years now and always rolled my eyes at the Saga stanning in this sub. Figured it was just another space opera with too much fan art. Then my buddy loaned me the first three volumes last month. I read the whole arc in one sitting on a Tuesday night. The way they handle Hazel's narration across issues 1 through 30 got me invested in a way I didn't expect. Anyone else have a series they ignored for a while that ended up winning them over?

Ha! I ignored Saga for years too, probably because my attention span is shorter than a Goldfish cracker.

Yeah I heard it gets way better after the first arc so I'm gonna give it another shot soon.
