That guy at the comic shop who 'corrected' my pull list was way off
I was at Dave's Comics in Portland last Tuesday grabbing my monthlies, and the guy behind the counter told me I was wasting money on a new Deadpool run because 'it's not canon.' He sounded so sure I swapped it out for some X-Force issue he recommended. Turned out the guy was just a customer who wandered behind the counter to grab a pen, and the new Deadpool run is actually pretty good. Anyone else ever let a random fan talk you into a bad swap?

Totally read a thread yesterday saying canon is just a suggestion anyway.

...and like, who cares if it's not canon? Canon doesn't magically make a comic good, there's plenty of canon stuff out there that's straight garbage. The Deadpool situation is funny but at the end of the day it's just a couple bucks for some entertainment. I've swapped books based on a stranger's hot take before and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't. Getting upset about it just seems like a lot of energy to spend on something that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme.
