Spent $80 on a full run of Ultimate Spider-Man and it was worth every penny

Picked up a full set of Ultimate Spider-Man issues 1-110 from a guy on Facebook Marketplace last weekend. Paid $80 total which felt like a lot at first but then I checked what some of those early issues go for online. Turns out issue 1 alone is worth like $50-60 in decent shape. The guy was just clearing out his basement and didn't care about pricing. I read through the first 30 issues already and they hold up so well. Has anyone else scored a crazy deal like that where the seller had no clue what they had?

Wait, you got all 110 issues for eighty bucks? That's insane, I can barely believe it. I spent almost that much just on a couple of the later issues with the good covers back in the day. Those early Bendis issues are pure gold, especially the first story arc before they bring in the new characters. Sounds like that guy had no idea what he was sitting on, or he just really wanted them gone.

Used to think overpaying for comics was dumb but seeing those prices changed my mind lol.
