My old pull list bag finally fell apart, replaced it after 11 years
Been using the same canvas bag for my Wednesday comics since 2013. It survived two moves, a flood in my basement, and countless trips to my shop in Akron. Last week the bottom just gave out while I was carrying about 14 issues, sent them all over the parking lot. Honestly felt a little sad tossing it, that thing had been with me through every big event and reboot. Grabbed a new tote from the shop, thicker material and a zipper pocket this time. The funny part is I never realized how much I relied on the old one until it broke. Anyone else hold onto their comic bags way longer than they should? What finally made you replace yours?
That bag surviving a flood is impressive, mine gave up after a bad rainstorm soaked the bottom and turned my floppies into a soggy mess. I felt the same way you did, it was like losing an old friend who was there for every #1 and every terrible crossover. I switched to a backpack with a hard bottom after that, and it holds way more, plus I don't worry about the straps ripping on heavy weeks. Now I just wish I had gotten one with a zipper pocket years ago, that's the real game changer.
