My long box system used to be organized by publisher, now it's by character
I sorted my 2,000 comics by publisher for years, but after a garage flood last spring I had to rebag everything and tried grouping each hero's full run together instead. Turns out grabbing a whole Batman story arc without flipping through three companies is way easier for rereads, though crossovers still trip me up. Has anyone else had to rework their filing method after a disaster, or am I overthinking the whole thing?

Alphabetical by hero is the only way after 2,000 books, case closed.
