My entire long box gave out on me last Tuesday

Was moving some stuff in the garage. Heard a crack. Bottom of the cardboard box just split. 80s X-Men issues everywhere. Had to scramble to grab them before they hit the damp concrete. Taped it up with way too much packing tape. Anyone have a better storage box they actually trust?

Grab a plastic bin from the hardware store. Tbh, cardboard just can't handle the weight after a while.

My buddy Mark tried cardboard boxes for his rock collection last year. He had these nice chunks of amethyst and quartz, probably 30 pounds total in a single box. Three weeks later he walked into his garage and the whole bottom gave out. Rocks everywhere, one cracked his big toe pretty bad. He switched to those heavy duty plastic storage bins with the locking lids. Cost him like 15 bucks at the hardware store but saved him from another trip to urgent care.
