My buddy swears Batman never kills, then quoted the one issue that proves he does
We were arguing at a shop in Akron last Saturday and he kept saying Batman has a strict no-kill rule, full stop. I pulled up Detective Comics #27 and pointed out he straight up throws a guy off a bridge in his first appearance, and my buddy just went quiet for like ten seconds. People forget the early Golden Age stuff wasn't written with a code yet, so the rules fans treat as gospel now didn't exist back then. Does anyone else have a friend who quotes the movies like they're the comics?
