Just hit 1000 issues in my collection and it feels weird

I counted them all last night and it's mostly old X-Men runs from the 80s. Now I have no room on my shelves and my wife is giving me that look. Anyone else get stuck with too many books and no good way to store them?

Man, have you thought about reading them digitally? I know it sounds wrong for old comics, but hear me out. I got a cheap tablet and downloaded some of my own old runs. It freed up a whole shelf and I can zoom in on the art without hurting the book. It's not the same as holding them, but it saved my marriage from the long box invasion, lol.

Ever think about selling some runs? @fisher.mason is right about the overflow, but maybe you just have too much stuff. It might be time to let some of those old books go.

My local library had a book sale last week and I saw a guy buy six long boxes just to store his collection. The overflow problem is real once you pass a certain number. You might need to look into some cheap storage solutions.
