Hot take: I picked a paper comic over digital for my collection

I had to choose between buying the new issue of Ultimate Spider-Man as a digital copy on my tablet or the physical paper version at my local shop in Portland. I went with the paper one because I missed actually flipping pages and smelling the ink. Now I'm wondering did I make the right call or is digital just easier for storing long term?

...and did you actually sit down and read it cover to cover, or is it sitting on a shelf looking nice? I've gone back and forth on this myself and the deciding factor for me was always how much time I actually spend with the thing. Digital is convenient for sure but if the physical copy is gonna end up as decoration after a week then you might as well have saved ten bucks and gotten the tablet version.

Read somewhere that flipping physical pages actually helps your brain remember the info better, something about the tactile feedback. Could be total placebo but I've noticed I retain more from my paperbacks than my tablet reads.
