Found a trick for organizing my long boxes without alphabet tabs
I was tired of flipping through 3 long boxes every time I wanted to grab a random issue. So I started labeling the boxes by decade instead of series, like 90s X-Men stuff in one box and 2000s indie runs in another. It took about 45 minutes to sort my 400 or so issues but now I can find anything in under a minute. Anyone else got a weird labeling system that works for them?

Honestly that decade idea is pretty clever. I actually heard about a similar system from a guy at my local shop who sorts his boxes by publisher and then by color of the spine, which sounds wild but he swore it worked for him. Tbh I thought about doing the whole decade thing but I only have like 150 issues so I just keep them alphabetical by title and then year inside each series. Ngl your method makes way more sense for a bigger collection though, especially if you read a lot of different stuff from the same era.

Wait, do you really think alphabetical by title then year works better? Ngl @wells.brooke, I tried that and it just felt like a mess when I wanted to binge read a specific era. But hey, to each their own I guess.
