Digital vs paper pull lists, I finally switched after 8 years

I used to hand-write my pull list on a napkin every Wednesday before hitting my shop in Philly, and it worked fine for me even when it got lost twice. After I got burnt by a variant cover I forgot to add last year, I moved everything to a notes app on my phone and now I never miss a book. Does anyone else think the old pen-and-paper way actually kept you more involved with your collection, or am I just nostalgic for the routine?

Wait, you actually kept a napkin pull list for 8 years without losing it more than twice? That's honestly impressive, I lost mine three times in one month back in 2019 and just gave up on paper forever. My handwriting is so bad that even I couldn't read my own notes half the time, so half my Wednesday trips were just me guessing what I wanted. The phone app is way more reliable for me, but I do miss the little ritual of scribbling on anything nearby, even if it meant finding a random receipt in my coat pocket later. Nostalgia is real, but so is my ability to forget things, so I'll take the digital win.
