Chat with a longtime collector at my local shop flipped my thinking

Was at Comic Kingdom on Tuesday and this older dude saw me grabbing a random Wolverine issue and asked why I picked it. He said he used to buy based on cover art alone and ended up with a closet full of junk nobody wanted. It made me wonder how many of us actually read the stories we buy versus just grabbing what looks cool?
