That 'gigabit' cafe in Seattle was a bait and switch for remote work
Heard good things about this spot near Pike Place, so I camped there for a day last week. Their menu said 'high speed fiber' but I clocked 8 Mbps down and the router was behind the counter, barely reaching my table. I actually had to tether off my phone for a client call, and the barista told me they'd never actually upgraded from the old DSL line. Anyone else run into cafes that fake their wifi specs, or have a way to test speeds before you commit to a seat?
