Shoutout to the barista at Groundwork in Portland

I was always skeptical about spending $6 on a pour-over instead of drip coffee, but she talked me into trying their Ethiopian beans last Tuesday and it was like tasting fruit instead of coffee. Has anyone else found a specific cafe drink that changed your mind about something you thought was hype?

Nah, I really don't see how paying that much for coffee is worth it. Drip coffee tastes fine to me and I'd rather save the $4 for something else.

Yeah exactly! I used to think I was missing out on some fancy coffee experience, but honestly, I've saved so much money sticking with drip coffee... I bought a $20 Mr. Coffee maker years ago and it's still going strong. $4 a day adds up fast, that's like $120 a month just for one drink. I'd rather put that towards a meal out or something I'll actually remember.

My friend spent $6 on some fancy latte every morning for a year and then complained she never had money for a weekend trip. The math on that one really hit hard.
