Overheard a barista in Seattle rant about laptop campers and it hit different
I was grabbing a coffee at this spot on Capitol Hill last week, and the barista told a coworker she's tired of people buying one $3 tea and staying for five hours. It made me realize I'm probably that person sometimes (guilty as charged). I usually spend about 4 hours at cafes and rotate between three different ones each week, but I never thought about how it looks from their side. Now I make sure to buy a second drink or a pastry around hour two, and I try to tip a little extra if I'm there during their busy lunch rush. Has anyone else had a moment where a cafe worker's comment made you change your cafe etiquette? I'm curious what other unwritten rules I might be missing.

Totally get that, that barista comment would stick with me too. I've started doing the same thing, grabbing a refill or a snack if I'm gonna be there a while.

Ngl I just camp at Starbucks for hours and never buy a second thing, they don't care.
