My laptop charger got stolen from a cafe in Denver and I was stuck for 3 hours

I had to borrow a cord from the barista and then hunt down a store that sold the right model. Has anyone else had gear go missing while working?

Three hours honestly doesn't sound that bad to me. I've had laptops die mid-meeting and had to sit around for five hours waiting for a buddy to bring me a charger across town. Plus Denver has like five Best Buys and a Micro Center, so you probably could've grabbed a universal one faster if you really needed to. Not saying it wasn't annoying, but I've seen people treat a stolen charger like their whole life fell apart.

My backpack vanished from a Seattle library with my tablet inside.

Oh man, that's the worst. It reminds me of the time I saw a guy at the airport just walk off with someone's whole rolling suitcase. The owner was turned away for two seconds buying a magazine. People have some nerve. Makes you paranoid about your stuff in any public spot now.
