My laptop charger gave out in the middle of a deadline at a cafe in Austin

I was two hours into a big project when it just stopped working. I had to ask three different people if they had a spare USB-C charger before someone helped me out. What's your go-to backup plan when your gear fails on the road?

Honestly, I always carry a power bank now.

Why pack more junk to worry about? Carrying extra gear just adds weight and something else to lose. I'd rather trust that most places have outlets or that someone nearby can help. Planning for every little failure seems like a hassle. Relying on the kindness of strangers worked out fine for you, didn't it?
