Heads up: Over-the-shoulder glances in cafes are more common than you think!

Just yesterday, someone peered at my laptop while I was reviewing confidential code. They asked an innocent question, but it made me realize how exposed we are in public spaces. Do you use privacy screens or have other tricks to keep your screen secure?

I mean, that mention of confidential code hits close to home. I was once just browsing my phone in a coffee shop and noticed someone clearly reading my texts over my shoulder, which was so unsettling. Maybe it's just me but now I instinctively tilt my screen downward, simple move but it gives some peace of mind.

Seriously? Tilting the screen seems so obvious, but does it actually work if someone's standing right behind you? What do you do when that basic move isn't enough?

During a train commute last month, I caught a stranger peeking at my laptop screen. I used to shrug off privacy concerns, but that incident changed my perspective completely. Now I rely on a matte privacy filter, which basically makes the screen unreadable from any angle except straight on. Tilting is a good first step, but in tight spaces, you need something more robust.
