Finally found a way to get a power outlet at that packed cafe in Denver

The place is always full, and I'd end up with a table far from any plugs. Last Friday, I brought a 10-foot extension cord in my bag and asked the barista if I could plug it in behind the counter. They said yes, no problem. I got a great spot by the window and kept my laptop charged for a full 4-hour work block. Anyone else have a simple trick for dealing with the outlet scramble?

Did you feel weird at all about asking to plug in behind the counter? I love the idea but I'd be nervous about being a bother, or if my cord was in the way of them working. Was the cord just snaking across the floor from the counter to your table? That seems like it could be a trip hazard for the staff.

Nah, they had outlets at the tables.

My laptop died at a library once and I had to ask.
