Appreciation post: The quiet corner table at The Daily Grind in Austin is actually terrible for focus
Everyone raves about that back corner spot, but I gave it a solid three-hour session last Thursday and it was a disaster. The glare from the west-facing window after 2 PM makes your screen impossible to see, and you're right next to the staff door to the back, so it bangs constantly. I know it feels private, but the practical setup is all wrong for getting real work done. Has anyone found a better 'hidden gem' spot in that area that doesn't have these basic flaws?

Honestly that table is the worst. Tried to finish a report there last month and the sun glare basically fried my laptop screen. The door slamming every five minutes made me jump out of my skin, and I was stuck listening to the dishwasher's full cycle. Felt like a trap.

Lol come on, it's just a bad table. Sun glare happens everywhere, and a door slamming is just normal building noise. Calling it a trap seems a bit much for a slightly annoying spot.

That table by the break room door? I spilled my whole coffee there once when someone barged out. The glare is unreal at like 2 PM, totally blinds you. What's the deal with putting the worst seat right there anyway?
