A cafe in Portland had a power strip built into the base of a bench seat
I was working at a spot called The Slow Pour last Thursday and needed to plug in. Instead of hunting for a wall outlet, I saw a regular power strip mounted under the long bench along the window. It had six outlets and was totally hidden unless you looked for it. That simple idea saved me from sitting on the floor. Has anyone seen other cafes get creative with power access?

The library downtown has outlets built right into the study tables. It's a game changer for students.

Oh, that's a nice setup. I read somewhere that a lot of newer libraries are doing that now because so many people bring laptops.
