Went from foam pitcher to plain cup and noticed a huge difference
I switched from that heavy steel pitcher to a simple ceramic mug for my pour overs last month, and the heat retention changed everything. The coffee stays warmer for a good 10-15 minutes longer, so I'm not rushing to finish before it goes cold. Has anyone else tried ditching the fancy gear for basic stuff?

and honestly that makes so much sense to me. I did the same thing a while back, traded in my fancy glass server for a thick little diner mug, and it was like a lightbulb went off. The heat stays put, the coffee tastes better for way longer, and I stopped feeling like I had to chug it just to enjoy it warm. It's kind of wild how all the expensive gear can actually mess with the simple pleasure of just sitting with a hot cup. I love that you're finding what works for you, even if it means going back to basics. Sometimes the best upgrades are the ones that cost almost nothing.

Technically glass mugs do hold heat better, but I get the appeal lol.
