Our local shop switched roasters last month and I'm not sure about the change
My usual spot in Portland, Ground Up Coffee, swapped from Counter Culture to a roaster out of Seattle called Lighthouse around 3 weeks ago. I've had 4 lattes there since and they all taste a bit more acidic, almost like citrus rind instead of chocolate. Has anyone else dealt with a shop switching sources and noticed a big difference in the milk drinks?

Oh man, I feel this so hard. I'm the kind of person who finds a coffee I like and then gets weirdly attached, like it's a security blanket or something. When my old cafe switched from Heart to some other roaster a couple years back, I literally thought I was losing my taste buds for a week until I realized it wasn't me, it was the beans. That citrus rind thing you're describing is exactly what I noticed, and it threw off my whole milk drink game, felt like I was drinking a sour lemon latte instead of my usual cozy chocolate hug.
