My grinder's burr carrier cracked 2 days after the return window shut

Heard a rattle mid-pour on Sunday and opened it up to a hairline crack running right through the threads, so now I'm hand-cranking a $40 backup like it's 1950. Anyone got a repair path, or am I just eating the cost and buying a burr set that actually fits this thing?
