My $12 bag of beans sat in the cupboard for 3 weeks and I finally get why you all roast your own
I bought a bag of single origin from a place in Portland 3 weeks ago and made the worst cup of my life this morning because I ground it the day I got it and never sealed it right. Tasted like cardboard and regret, so I started reading up on roast dates and now I'm wondering if I should just start roasting green beans in a popcorn maker on my porch. Does anyone here actually roast at home, and is a $20 air popper a dumb place to start or not?
