Had a rough coffee week. Tuesday was the worst.
Burnt my hand on a steam wand at 6am, then spilled a whole Chemex on the counter. By Friday I just switched to instant for two days straight. Anyone else ever have a coffee week so bad you just gave up for a bit?

What brand of instant did you end up using? I've been there, the cheap stuff tastes like punishment.

Man, that steam wand burn is the worst kind of wake-up call. @bettykim is right about the punishment coffee, I once had to drink gas station instant on a long haul and it tasted like warm pencil shavings. My whole kitchen smelled like burnt beans for a week after my own Chemex disaster.
