Why does nobody tell you the first win is just printing a line of text?
I started the free Python course on a Tuesday night, mostly because my brother bet me I would quit before two weeks. On day four I finally got past the setup mess and typed the classic print line, and when my own words popped up on the screen I literally stood up from my chair in the kitchen. I know it sounds silly, it is one line of text, but it was the first time the computer did exactly what I asked. Then I made it print my dog's name five times in a row and sat there grinning like an idiot. Has anyone else had that tiny dumb moment where it finally clicks, and what was the first thing you got to work?
