Vent: Spent 4 hours debugging a missing semicolon last night
I'm working through a JavaScript course on Udemy and got stuck on a project for like 4 hours. Turns out I forgot one semicolon at the end of a line. The worst part is the error message just said "unexpected token" and pointed to a completely random spot. Has anyone else had a bug that small make you want to throw your laptop out the window?

Four hours over a semicolon is brutal... I've been there with missing brackets.

That reminds me of this time I was trying to put together IKEA furniture and spent two hours trying to figure out why this one piece wouldn't fit. Turned out I was trying to screw a bracket in upside down. The whole thing just clicked into place once I flipped it around. It's funny how those tiny mistakes can eat up hours when you're just staring at the same thing over and over.

Vent away, I feel your pain. Had a similar moment last week where I spent a solid three hours hunting down a typo in a variable name, just one letter off. Error pointed me to a completely different line too, so I was chasing ghosts the whole time. I honestly just sat there staring at my screen and laughed at how stupid it all felt. Makes you wonder if programming is just a test of how long you can suffer through tiny mistakes before snapping.
