That missing semicolon in my first JavaScript project cost me 4 hours on a Tuesday
I spent 4 hours last Tuesday hunting a bug in a to-do list app I built from a YouTube tutorial. The console said nothing, the page just did nothing when I clicked add. I added console.log everywhere, rewrote the event listener twice, and even deleted my whole file once. Turned out I was missing one semicolon after a const line. My mentor looked at it for 10 seconds and found it. Now I want to know, is this just part of learning or should I be using a linter from day one? I feel dumb but also kind of proud I fixed it myself.
