Spent $40 on a Udemy course that finally made JavaScript click for me

I bought Colt Steele's Web Developer Bootcamp back in 2020 for $40 on sale and it honestly saved me from giving up on coding. The way he explained closures and the DOM was so much better than the free YouTube tutorials I was piecing together. Has anyone else had a random course just flip the switch for them?

yeah colt steele is legit, his course was the one that made async stuff click for me too. still remember struggling with callbacks for weeks and then he explained it with some dumb analogy and it just made sense all of a sudden.

Totally agree with you there. His analogies are gold, like the one about promises being like ordering food at a restaurant. I think the reason it clicked so well is he shows you the messy way first, then walks you through the cleaner solution step by step without skipping anything. That whole "callback hell" part of his course was brutal but it made the async/await stuff feel like a relief instead of just another thing to learn. I still go back and rewatch bits of that course when I need to explain it to someone else.
