Rant: That one friend who always says "just Google it" to every beginner question

I was asking about how to structure a JSON file for a simple project and a buddy in my Discord group kept saying "just Google it" instead of giving me a straight answer. It hit different because I realized he probably forgot what it's like to not even know what terms to search for. Has anyone else had a mentor or friend shut down a simple question like that?

Is it just me or does that "just Google it" guy secretly have a fear of sounding dumb if his explanation isn't perfect? I've been that guy before, totally guilty. My buddy once asked me how to center a div and I just sent him a link to CSS-Tricks instead of admitting I had to Google the same thing three times that week. Honestly, half the time when I say "Google it" it's because I'd have to open three tabs just to jog my own memory and give a halfway decent answer. So yeah, your friend might be more scared of looking like a fraud than he is of being helpful.

Ngl, I just started telling people "let me look that up real quick" and it saved me so much embarrassment.
