I used to think online coding tutorials were a waste of time

Back in the 90s, I was convinced you needed a thick book and a proper class to learn. Then I tried the free Python course on Codecademy about five years ago and it completely clicked. Has anyone else had a tool or site that changed their mind about how to learn?

Man, I was the same way with video tutorials. Always skipped them for articles. Then I got stuck on this one React bug and a random YouTube walkthrough saved me. Now I search for a video first thing. The visual step-by-step just makes some problems click faster.

Ugh, I'm still not sold on videos. Half the time you're stuck watching someone slowly type while they ramble. Just give me the code snippet to copy. I wasted twenty minutes last week on a video that could've been three bullet points in a forum post.

Videos don't let me search for the one part I need either.
