Chose raw SQL over an ORM for my first real project
I spent a week learning SQLAlchemy for a small inventory app, then bailed at 2am and wrote plain queries instead. It took me maybe 4 hours to finish and I actually understood every join I made. Has anyone else ditched the fancy tools just to get the job done simpler?
