An instructor at a free weekend bootcamp in Denver told me to skip tutorials and start building, but a different guy told me to do 100 tiny exercises. Which one was right?
I signed up for a 2 day intro to JavaScript class in Denver last month and the teacher pulled me aside and said, quit watching videos on YouTube and just build a small app this week. Then a guy at the library who has been coding for 20 years said the opposite, do 50 tiny practice problems so your brain gets the basics down cold. I tried both and now I can't tell which one actually made me better, so how do you decide when two people you trust give you total opposite beginner advice?
