Am I the only one who blew $300 on a coding bootcamp prep course that taught less than free YouTube?
So last October I got scared about my job and signed up for this intro to coding course for $300. It was supposed to be 8 weeks of live classes and mentorship. What I actually got was a guy reading off slides for an hour, twice a week, about what a variable is. I finished the whole thing and could barely write a for loop on my own. Meanwhile I spent a weekend on free videos from a channel a friend sent me and finally got functions to click. If you are thinking about paying for a beginner course, ask to see the actual curriculum first, not the sales page. Did anyone else pay for something like this before finding the free stuff that actually worked?
