Tried running my Hypertherm at 45 amps on 3/16 plate and the dross came out glassy smooth
I'd been cutting everything at full 65 amps out of habit for about two years at my garage in Akron, and when I finally dropped the amps and slowed to 28 ipm the dross just about fell off the parts with a fingernail, so now I'm wondering how many other settings I've been cranking to max for no reason, anyone else find a sweet spot they wish they'd tried sooner?

Two years at full 65 and you never once backed it off? That's wild, you were just blasting everything at max the whole time. The dross thing makes me want to go mess with my settings tonight.
