Just realized my dross problem disappeared after I swapped one thing on the table
Six months ago I was chipping dross off every part with a chisel and hated it. Last week I cut a batch of 1/4 inch brackets on my 4x4 table and the edges came off clean with a light touch of the grinder. The change was water. I added a shallow water pan so the plate sits about an inch under the surface, and it cut the smoke and the dross at the same time. I wish someone had told me sooner that half my cutting problems were really a bed height problem. Anyone running a dry table that found a different fix for dross on thicker plate?
