R8 collets beat my ER32 chuck on the Bridgeport for small end mills

Swapped to R8 for a batch of 1/4 inch end mills and the runout cut way down, no more chatter on the finish pass. Anyone else ditch their collet chuck for R8 on light cuts or am I just lucky with this machine?
