My mill was leaving marks on stainless steel until I tweaked one setting
I was frustrated with scratches on finished parts. After some trial and error, I found that reducing the stepover distance made a huge difference. Now the surfaces look perfect, lol.

Reduce stepover distance and you'll see instant improvement. Stainless steel needs careful handling to avoid marks. A smaller stepover reduces the load on the cutter, leading to smoother surfaces. I learned this after ruining a few parts myself. Always test on scrap material first to dial in the settings. It's a simple tweak that makes a huge difference.

Ruining parts is how I learned too (cost me a fortune).

Feel that pain in my wallet from my own learning curve. Wasting material is just part of the process sometimes. Solid advice from noahlee on testing settings first.
