Manual gauges vs digital probes, stuck with the old way after a bad run
Back in 2017 at a shop near Dayton, I had to choose between upgrading our mics to digital or keeping the manual sets. The digitals kept drifting on the floor with all the coolant mist, so I replaced the batteries twice a week for a month. I ended up sticking with my old Mitutoyo analogs, and they still hold within a tenth after all these years. Anyone else deal with digital gear that just can't hang in a wet shop?
