Just ran my 10,000th part on the old VF-2 and it didn't even flinch

I was running a batch of those aluminum brackets, the ones we do for the local machine shop. The counter ticked over to 10,000 cycles since the last major service, and the finish was still perfect. That mill has been through three guys before me. Anyone else have a machine that just won't quit?

That's awesome about your VF-2 hitting 10,000 cycles. It really says something when a machine outlasts multiple operators. Sounds like you've got a real workhorse there.

Buddy of mine had a VF-2 at his shop that was still running strong after like 12 years. He'd hired this younger guy who kept complaining the machine was too slow and outdated. Then one day the kid crashed it real bad, bent the whole spindle. Had to get it rebuilt and everything. Funny thing is that same machine is still there making parts while that guy quit three years ago. Just shows a good mill will outlast any operator drama every time.
