Bought a $700 industrial printer for labels, barely use it now

Last month I saw a deal on a used thermal label printer for my cloud kitchen and thought it'd speed up my pack station, but it's just sitting on the counter collecting flour dust... the free handwritten labels plus a $12 sharpie are honestly faster for my 40 orders a day. Has anyone else sunk cash into fancy gear that ended up useless, or am I the only sucker here?

Is it bad that I kind of want to defend the printer at first, but honestly you just changed my mind? I used to think any tool that saves time is worth the money, no questions asked. But I got a fancy label maker for my Etsy orders last year, spent like $200 on it plus the tape refills, and my handwritten thank you notes with a cheap pen are still way quicker for the 10 orders I do a week. The printer just sits in my closet now, and every time I see it I feel a little dumb. So yeah, you're not the only one, but at least your printer is on the counter where you can pretend it's useful.
