An Uber driver in Austin made me rethink my soup containers
Last week I had an Uber driver in Austin who asked what I do, and when I said cloud kitchen, he started asking about how I package soup. I told him I used those basic clear plastic deli containers, and he just shook his head. He said if a driver sees a lid that seals tight, he knows the food won't leak on him, so he takes those orders first and gets them delivered faster. That hit me because I never thought about driver behavior affecting my food temp or reviews. I switched to the 16 oz containers with the reinforced snap lids from a local supplier, cost me about 12 cents more per order. Has anyone else looked at how your packaging impacts the driver's routing choices or had a driver tell you something similar?
