Tried skipping meat for a month to reduce my carbon footprint, ended up saving $120 on groceries

I figured my food budget would go up buying all those plant-based substitutes, but my grocery bill in Denver actually dropped because I stopped buying expensive cuts of beef and chicken for dinners. Has anyone else noticed their wallet getting greener along with their diet?

Saved $90 myself in Austin just swapping Beyond Meat for lentils and beans.
