That $200 insulation kit saved my heating bill, but the install was brutal
Bought one of those DIY attic insulation blow-in kits from Home Depot last month, spent about $200 total with the machine rental. My gas bill dropped 40% this month, but I didn't account for the 8 hours of crawling around up there and the dust that took 3 showers to wash off.
