Switched from gas to induction cooktop last month and I'm kicking myself for waiting

I finally swapped my old gas range for an induction one during a kitchen reno in my 1920s bungalow. The difference in indoor air quality is NUTS - my air quality monitor showed PM2.5 levels dropping by like 60% in the first week. Plus it's way faster at boiling water, I'm talking half the time. Has anyone else made this swap and noticed their house doesn't get that stuffy, burnt smell anymore?

the difference in indoor air quality is NUTS" - cmon man, is it really that nuts though? I switched from gas to induction a couple years back and honestly I barely noticed any change in how the air felt or smelled. Maybe your old gas stove was leaking or something? My house still gets stuffy when I cook bacon or sear a steak, so I dunno if the cooktop itself is the magic bullet you're making it out to be. Also that 60% PM2.5 drop sounds like a big number but those cheap air quality monitors are kinda sketchy. I tested mine with a candle once and it went bonkers. Not saying induction is bad or anything, it's fine, but I think people get a little dramatic about the "life changing" stuff. Boiling water faster is cool though, I'll give you that.

Ha, I actually had the opposite experience. I got a cheap air quality monitor for kicks and the difference when I cook with gas vs induction was night and day, the PM2.5 numbers were way higher with gas even with the vent hood on.
