Spotted a leaky faucet at the park bathroom that changed my whole view on water waste

I was at Piedmont Park last Saturday watching my kid play soccer and went to use the bathroom. That faucet in the women's room was dripping steady once every two seconds, probably wasting gallons a day. I flagged down a city worker and he said they get calls about it all the time but nobody fixes it fast. It got me thinking how many small leaks we just ignore at home and in public places. Has anyone else tracked how much water they actually save after fixing those drips?

gallons a day" is a stretch for one leaky faucet.

My buddy Tim had a slow drip in his bathroom that he ignored for maybe 3 months. When the water bill came, it was like 40 bucks higher than normal.
