I used to think my old truck was fine, but a trip to the hardware store changed my mind

Last week in Denver, I was loading bags of grout into my 2002 F-150 and the guy next to me in a new electric truck just plugged in for free at the store's charger. We got talking and he said, 'My fuel cost for this trip is zero.' I did the math on my gas for the month and it was over $300. I'm not ready to buy a new vehicle, but I'm seriously looking at an electric cargo bike for my smaller local jobs now. Has anyone else made a switch like that for work stuff?

Cargo bikes are a total game changer for local runs.

Totally agree. I started hauling my kids to school and then hitting the grocery store on the way back. Fitting a whole week's worth of food in the box is easy. It just makes those little trips feel fun instead of a chore.

How do you even go back to a car after that? I used to dread the grocery run but now I throw my bags in the crate and it's actually enjoyable. The kids beg to come along just for the ride. It turns a boring job into a little adventure every time.
